Single Sided or Double Sided Printing Explained
Single-Sided Double Exposure Print: In this method, the artwork is printed on both sides of the fabric, and although the opposite side will have a mirrored (backwards) version of the design, both sides still appear bright and vibrant. The key benefit of this is the color contrast—since both sides are printed, the flag looks bright and vivid even if viewed from the back.
This is the most popular technique for most flags because it's a cost-effective and visually appealing way to display designs, especially if you're not too concerned with the mirror effect on the reverse side.
Double-Sided Printing: Both sides of the flag can be printed with different logos, patterns, or designs, making each side readable and visually distinct ensuring your message is always visible and correctly oriented no matter which way the wind blows. To achieve this, we print your design on both the front and back, with a block-out layer sandwiched in between. This block-out prevents any show-through, so each side remains crisp and opaque. However, it's important to note that double-sided flags are heavier due to the extra layers, and even a 2' x 3' flag may strain lighter poles such as 0.50" fiberglass.
